Introduction to Bricklaying

There are no entry requirements , this course is for complete beginners. During the course you will learn how to use a range of bricklaying tools and understand safe working practices in the workshop. You will be supported to build a basic brickwork structure under the direction of your tutor. 

Topics Covered include;
Mixing various materials 
Using ratios to mix up mortar
Selecting the correct tools
Setting out area using correct measurements
Build basic wall structures with brick 
Plumb and gauge
Making corner square
5, 4, 5 rule using tape measure correctly
Checking for plumb
Level and gauge throughout the chosen build

Introduction to Painting, Decorating & Wallpapering

There are no entry requirements , this course is for complete beginners. During the course you will learn how to use a range of painting and decorating tools and understand safe working practices in the workshop. You will be supported to paint , decorate and wallpaper under the direction of your tutor.

During the course you will learn how to use a range of carpentry tools & equipment, and understand safe working practices in the workshop. You will be supported to design, create and complete a basic carpentry project under the direction of your tutor.

Introduction Basic Cookery

There are no entry requirements, this course is for complete beginners. During the course you will learn basic but essential recipes suited to various occasions. you will learn to make food from scratch with only a few ingredients. The lessons will give you the necessary skills to cook independently and from recipes.
